PINK AT SEA

Julia contacted me about my Sea And Sand Suite a few weeks ago - she loved the bold style but asked if we could do it in a brighter, more tropical theme and I said, "Absolutely!" :) I don't offer envelope liners in my shop yet, but I'm happy to do it! We picked a bright orange and never looked back :) Of course, as with everything at Shop Olio, the liner is done by hand - hand cut, hand trimmed edges, hand scored, inserted and mounted...by hand...by me :) It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but I love doing it - this order was a real treat to work on! Along with this set, I also created some logo options for the couple, so I'm hoping we'll get to see more of Julia and her bright colors in the near future! I'm not sure exactly what's in store, but it looks fun!

LEMON LOVE ME

Rounding out a nice run of gray and yellow items, here is Taline and Khajag's lemon tree program. They are getting married in May and already have everything figured out and I think that deserves a round of applause :) Taline was so sweet to work with, and funny too! I have heard that some brides can be...trouble, but I have really been so lucky in that department and I've been able to work with some really wonderful women! So many thanks and warm wishes to Taline and her fiancé!

OH SO TREASURED

Etsy Treasuries are member-curated galleries of artists' work. Each is unique and I am always honored to be featured in one! All the images you see on the front page of Etsy are grabbed from a Treasury, so being featured in one is the only way to get on the front page (a rarity for most sellers). I happen to really love this yellow and gray color scheme that has become quite popular and am pleased to have a lemon tree wedding suite that fits right in. A big thank you to Carina for featuring me today! You can see all the items in this Treasury here.

BIRCH TREES AND BIRDIES

I have these in a slate blue color in my shop, but Robyn contacted me about doing a gray and yellow version and I think they turned out really great! She opted for a single layer table number, printed on both sides and a flat, square card for the escort cards. The bride and groom also had this really great idea for candy table! Each person in the wedding party picked their favorite candy and they were displayed along with these little cards. I imagine guests got to pick some candy to take home as a wedding favor. From the looks of it, there wasn't one pastel-colored almond in sight :)

A PINK COLORADO

Kelsey and Troy are getting married tonight (YAY!!) Now, personally, as a child of the California sun, I'm pretty sure I'd be a Melissa-cicle if I step foot in Colorado in January, but this little suite turned out so pretty, I might make the trip if invited :) Kelsey was so sweet to work with and this rosy pink set turned out to be equally darling! Kelsey was kind enough to leave some very positive feedback for me and the couple seemed to be really happy with how their custom pieces turned out. As I have told many people, many times, the best part of my job is getting the email after someone receives their order and they love it. Full of exclamation points and appreciation. So! Much! Fun! (Best wishes to the newlyweds!)
