While all of my samples are set up as wedding invitations and various other wedding stationery, including programs and thank you cards, escort cards and table numbers, everything in my shop can be changed for any event and I am always excited to see what various ways customers come up with to use my designs. This birch and birdie invitation was changed up for the rehearsal dinner of the lovely Erica and Rob. I love it when couples (or in this case their family) take the time to send out physical invitations to important events and I was super happy to help out with these sweet invites!
My BFF is getting married! YAY! I am a lucky gal to have my dear friend, Lesley, living so close. We both grew up in California and we have both made our way out to Las Vegas. Lesley and Justin are not having a shotgun wedding or a drive-thu wedding or an Elvis wedding, but they are getting married here in Las Vegas, and these Save The Dates are a nod to that! Created just for the couple, these custom-made playing cards and poker chips (which are actually little magnets) make for a super sweet little set and I am proud to say that I have one on my refrigerator! This will be the second time I'll be the guest at a wedding for which I've created the stationery and I can't wait! Congratulations Lesley and Justin, I love you guys!
I have created invitations for a variety of events, but this was a bit of a unique request. Noel told me a little about her sister, Meredith, who passed away from cancer in 2007. In turn, Meredith's family set up a scholarship fund in her name at the University of Georgia. In March of this year, the money raised in the fund hit the benchmark for a perpetual scholarship. Noel and her family wanted to send out announcements to all of the contributors and I was honored to be asked to help! You can find more info at about Meredith, Noel, the family and the scholarship at www.caringbridge.com/visit/meredithjones. Meredith and Noel's mother, Marlene, was kind enough to leave the following feedback on Etsy for me:
Melissa created meaningful, beautiful announcements for donors to the University of Georgia Scholarship honoring tbe life of our daughter/sister. She thoughtfully listened then applied her talents & creativity. Melissa was professional, prompt, and very kind. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Such a pleasure, thank you!
Erica contacted me about my Pear Buttons and decided on two of the four offered designs for her and her beau. I think this might be the first time I've been able to make these particular buttons. I have a bunch of items in my shop to show what I can do but not every item gets ordered and many times people see what I can make and then ask me if I can make them something else :) In this case, Rob and Erica were super easy to work, picking something straight out of my shop and I was able to get these done for them in no time (and I love them)!
Ashley and Will were married this weekend! Hooray! They contacted me about my Peacock Program and wanted to know if I could change the teal color to green for a bolder look. As is usually the case, I said, "of course!" and here we are now with a bit more ooph and I think the back side (on the right) turned out extra cool! A big thank you to the couple and many happy wishes for the future! See the original suite here.
